Tasty Pulled Pork

I’m not a huge fan of crock pot pulled pork in light of the fact that we regularly smoke pork specifically for pulled pork but in the winter this recipe is not a bad alternative. It’s very, very easy to do and it makes a nice comfort dish for the cold winter days especially when watching football. You just need a crock pot, a pork butt, some onions, and your favorite barbeque sauce.

Cut about 2-3 onions into cubes. Place the pork butt in the crock pot and pour in the onions. If you are using store bought barbeque sauce add the entire contents to the crock pot. If you make your own make enough for the equivalent of an 8 ounce bottle.

Cook the butt on medium heat for about 8-10 hours. Take the pork out of the crock pot and pull apart into shreds. Place the pork back into the crock pot to keep warm.

The pulled pork is enough to serve about 6-8 people. Serve on buns and layer with your favorite coleslaw.
